Read the excerpts from the Psychoanalysis of Hitler - fascinating read. It states for you to work in groups to discuss, ignore that since this is a blog, we are not working on this in class. Below you will find question three that was truncated during the photocopying stage - my apologies.

Remember - I am giving you the gift of an extension since you are working on your essays...therefore your blogs are due Monday night at 9:00 p.m. Have fun with these readings - I think they are DYNAMITE!!!!! I always look for QUALITY not quantity...

3) Adolf's sense of good and bad was confused at a young age. No matter what rule he broke, he rarely had to deal with consequences - not from his mother because she didn't punish him since he was her favorite, and not from his father because he was beaten even if he had not broken any rule. Do you agree or disagree with this psychoanalysis and why?

    Germany Final Reparations Essay(75 words)

Reading the expert talking about Germany, it seems Germany are now just paying there payments of World War One. It said was the "payments 92 years after the country defeat". That means that whole time, Germany had a payment to make that is just now ending. Hitler was in it to and he didn't like the treaty, wanted to destroy it. This is what I got from this.

    Psychoanalysis of Hitler

1.Alois felt ashamed of Alois Jr because Alois Jr didn't seek the same interest as he's dad. I disagree with this because beating Hitler as a form of psychoanalysis is what made Hitler who he was growing up and the leader he became. I'm guessing Alois thought this was great for him and his legacy because one of his sons persuade the same career, but like I said I disagree.

    2. Yes, I agree with this. Adolf seeing his father being brutal to him, feeling his wrath and almost killing him probably triggered something and Hitler learned from this. Growing up Adolf took on the imitation that he's father used on him against the Jews. This is the reason why Adolf was so ruthless because of his dad.

3.I agree and disagree to a certain extent. Reason why I agree because he's parents didn't do the right things to punish him. If he would do a good or bad he would get beat by his father Alois. And it seems his mother was soft on him, so really no emotions on what he did if he Adolf did something bad. Then I disagree because in his mind something should of lit up saying this is good or this is bad.

4.I agree and disagree. The reason why I agree because these "close calls", Hitler faced death right in the face. Maybe he was "godly" in his own eyes. Then I disagree because in any one of these close calls he could of died, he was just another survivor.

    5. So basically this is saying Hitler was an homosexual, so not to feel downgraded by this he put them concentration camps and also killed them. I agree because Hitler was a powerful man, so I'm thinking any flaw he had he wanted to destroy it and leave it in the past. I agree also because any flaw somebody has, they do want to get rid of it.

6.I agree because Hitler really didn't have any real plans, reading the packets. Hitler had goals but as it said guess in his mind was winning to fast and probably got bored. The number one goal was to kill all the Jews, so why not cause other trouble to other nations ?

    7. I can kind of agree, the idea that Hitler doesn't want to be equal by this statement. I'm guessing when Hitler thought of a Jew he can see himself. The way the Jews lived is probley how Hitler lived. He wanted the Germans only to have this trait.

  2. Psychoanalysis of Hitler
    1. In this psychoanalysis it explained that Alois, Hitler’s father, was a very strict guy and he did not tolerate anyone not obeying him. Alois wanted Alois Jr, Alois’s oldest son, to be involved with the civil service career but he wasn’t. With that being said, Alois was very angry with Alois Jr. As a result, Alois Jr. ran away and Alois took his anger out on Hitler. I do not approve of this psychoanalysis for the following reasons: 1. It WASN’T Hitler’s fault that Alois Jr didn’t want to follow the path that his father set for him. 2. It wasn’t fair for Alois to beat Hitler, he did nothing wrong. Finally, 3. Let’s think this, if Alois Jr never ran away Alois would of beat him for not obeying him. In my opinion no parent should beat their child for not following their parents dreams, Alois Jr show are able to follow his own dream and have the career his hearts desires.
    2. This psychoanalysis is claiming that children who grow up in violence turn out to be violent. I disagree with this claim yet at the same time there are children who follow this so therefore, I agree with this claim also. I disagree with this claim because of experiences I have encountered with my peers. For example, one of my peers grew up in Mattapan. (as some people may call it Murderpan) This place is extremely dangerous and full of violence, but did she grow up to be violent? No, she grew up to be a very smart young woman getting straight A’s. However, I do agree with this claim because there are other classmates that also grew up in Mattapan, Dorchester or Hyde Park –theses places are full of violence as well- and became violent. They fight continuously, barely come to school, and get all F’s. This is why I agree but yet disagree with this claim.
    3. This psychoanalysis states that Hitler didn’t know right from wrong. He didn’t know this because as a young child his mother never hit him when he did something wrong because he was her favorite child. His father always hit him even if he did nothing bad. My opinion for this psychoanalysis is that yes, of course Hitler is going to grow up with this thought in his mind; it is okay to commit bad actions. Hitler isn’t going to know right from wrong because his mother never told him that anything he was doing was wrong. Therefore, that makes Hitler thinks that whatever he does is okay. With, his father beating him like he does Hitler will never know if he does any right or wrong.
    4. From what I understand from this psychoanalysis, Hitler believed that he was Incredible Hulk (Incredible Hulk-a very strong man. It is extremely hard to kill him) because he encountered many death situations where he almost died but he didn’t. I strongly disagree that Hitler was Incredible Hulk because maybe it just wasn’t his time to die yet. Or maybe because he was just one of those people who got lucky.

  3. 5. In this psychoanalysis it informs me that there was some type of myth saying that Hitler was a homosexual. “He made homosexuals in charge of Hitler Youth.” He gave all these homosexuals these good jobs. Many people started to believe that he was homosexual because of him giving all these jobs to the homosexuals. To prove people wrong he killed most of the homosexuals. I disagree with Hitler’s action; killing those homosexuals just to prove that he wasn’t a homosexual himself. He could of: ignored the remarks that people were saying about him or prove it some other way that was nonviolent. This was an extremely mean/horrible act. He had no right to kill all of those people. This is why I disagree with this psychoanalysis.
    6. This psychoanalysis states that Hitler let the French and Britain go free when Germany trapped them because Hitler wanted to go straight to war with the U.S. Hitler made many mistakes with war because he wanted to win the war. His only goal was to kill all of the Jews. I don’t agree with this psychoanalysis because Hitler had one major plan; to kill the Jews but he didn’t just stick with this one plan he starting doing other unnecessary acts.
    7. The last psychoanalysis claims that Hitler wanted to kill all of the Jews because he didn’t like anything about them. They didn’t fit his requirements. I strongly disagree with this psychoanalysis because 1. I believe that everyone should be able to live how they want and they shouldn’t have to act the way anyone wants them to. 2. Hitler has no right to execute anyone, who is he? So what if he has a lot of power. That power is not to go around killing whoever he pleases. This is why I strongly disagree with this psychoanalysis.

    75 Word Essay
The result of the treaty of Versailles was Germany had to pay a big price which caused them to be $112 billion in debt. Germany was in debt for long time. They were giving a while to pay for this because they didn’t have a lot of money. Germans were very mad that they blamed the causing of WW1 on them. They believed it wasn’t their fault and they should not pay for the damages.

    ReplyDelete
  4. The article “Germany Closes Book on World War 1 with Final Preparation Payment” states, after fifty-nine years since the world wars, Germany is finally going to put an end to her war debts. The amount Germany originally owed was 269 billion gold marks. But because it was impossible to pay, the amount was brought down to 112 billion gold marks. It is very surprising to learn that even in modern day, Germany is still paying off debts.

1.) No I don't agree with this psychoanalysis because onone should be use as a scapegoat for anybody’s anger. I don't care if they are family or not. You wouldn't like if a person took out their anger on you, whenever they get angry would you so you should do it to another person. This analysis also disclose that Hitler want love by his parents it is because of his childhood trauma that he was the way he is.
2.) I agree with this psychoanalysis because it is known that if some children are abuse when they were little. they would grow up inheriting those aspects of the abusive parent and deliberately express it when they are angered or just to make themselves feel better. And because of Hitler’s beating he had grown a thick layer of skin and also his strong hatred which came out when he settled out to eliminate the jews.

3.) I don't agree with his psychoanalysis because, I believe that is a child had done something wrong her or she should be punished so, he or she should get the sense of right from wrong of their actions. but not punishing the child when they are wrong and beating them for your own selfish needs is beyond the answer. No wonder Hitler was all types of mess up, his parents raised him that way. I mean if you are going to abuse your child to Hitler's point of no return, than you should be having children in the first place.
4.)I can see where this analysis is coming from, because Hitler was beaten early half to deaf as a child and he had experienced more close to death experience as an adult. So due these experiences the thought that he was met to live, to do what he conjuring up with the creation of the Nazis, and his world takeover attempts was planted into his mind. I myself know many people that had near death experiences, and that believe that they were spared because god had a purpose for them in this world.

5.)I don't agree with this psychoanalysis, because what Hitler did to the Homosexuals was what I personally call BACKSTABBING.He worked with them and consider them companions. Just to one day decide that they were evil and attempted to rid the world of them. I believe you should just people for what they are, but who they are inside. And Hitler had no reason to kill these people. And also I have a suspicion that Hitler himself was gay because it clicks, why would you surround yourselves with homos if you aren't one yourself?
6.) I agree with this analysis because Hitler was psychopath that for some reason just really had a strong hatred towards the jews. He wanted to carry out his plans, and got too confident in the process and made many mistakes. He let his ego get the best of him.
7.)I agree because Hitler had done all of these things. And it is very ironic because almost everything that hitler disliked he himself he was. And all the things he wanted, and envisioned he could never be. For example his view of an ideal German was blue eyes and blond hair but Hitler himself could never be that.

    Summary:
The Treaty of Versailles had an extreme amount of debt, and they barely closed any last altercations they had with any other country. Also, on October 3, Germany made their last payment which they had to make due to their involvement towards the World War 1. When Hitler came into power, he had too much and was able to accomplish any of his goals. Even though countries still had debts, Germany only resolved a few of the many problems they were facing.

    Question 1:
    - I disagree with this psychoanalysis because Adolf was beaten for what he was and not for what he was and not for what he did due to his dad which took out his anger on him since Alois Jr. ran away and since Adolf was the only one,he was beaten for what others have caused.
    Question 2:
    - I agree with this psychoanalysis due to the fact that Adolf was man enough to stop crying and actually making this experience a good one by confronting his own problems. Actually, it is true that he would become a rude man due to his childhood experiences.
    Question 3:
    - I disagree with this psychoanalysis since kids at a young age whom which disobey the rules are actually given consequences to learn from their own mistakes especially when they’re young.
    Question 4:
    - I agree with this psychoanalysis because there's a saying which says “ What doesn’t kill you make you stronger” and apparently his “near-death survivals” made him stronger which made him have greater role with so much power.
    Question 5:
    - I disagree with this psychoanalysis due to the fact that at first Hitler had no problem with the homosexuals and then all of a sudden he had them killed. What have they ever done to him but being helpful towards the Hitler Youth.
    Question 6:
    - I disagree with these psychoanalysis because Hitler thought he was winning the war which brought him to the conclusion that he can take over anything else which later on led to conflicts.
    Question 7:
    - I disagree with this psychoanalysis just because the Jews didn’t do anything in order to receiver the hurtful treatments they were given by Hitler, and not liking them wasn’t a reason to kill many Jews either.

    (75 word essay)
When it comes to war, everyone comes in with the mentality of winning but of course there’s a side that will win, and a side that will lose. Germany came out loosing in both WW1 and years later in WW2. This loosing didn’t come out to be free, they had to pay and this debt was still being paid in the 20th century. Simply amazing but from what they did they deserved it very well.

    1. I would agree with this psychoanalysis of Hitler because of many reasons. As a child getting beaten is something that you ether know you’re going to get not get because of your actions. So, having Alois beat Hitler brought the question to Hitler’s subjective mind “why am I getting abused without fault”. I believe that when someone grows old they would continue asking themselves this question and not beat up their kids for no reason but Hitler’s way was much cruel. He thought and over thought about Alois’s beatings and later when he proceeded with the holocaust, those hard, punishable ways he had weren’t based on why because there was nothing the Jews/gipsy’s/homosexuals did to him there was just one thing working in his head and that was “get beat for whose you are, not what you do”.

    2. In this psychoanalysis, I would agree because I believe that in your child hood is when you learn your morals about life but being in a family in which you are beaten for what you are and not for what you did, there comes other psychological issues. Because of his father’s beatings, Hitler made himself not cry which would later became a rude man and cruelty that would applied upon the Jews, the gypsy’s and any other person or group that didn’t seem perfect white blue eyed to him. His childhood had massive violence so this worked in his head affecting his future. This is because a childhood like his was full of depression and hard moments. From such a young age not wanting to cry is unbelievable because everyone cries but because of this, that gave him a character that would eventually affect the whole world.

    3. This is most defiantly a psychological problem because we see 2 things here. After Hitler created this conduct of not crying and being heartless, he grew know his right and wrong twisted which gives us the knowledge that the household had things that weren’t perfect. He wouldn’t get beaten by his father like he did before and Hitler was his mother’s favorite of course the favoritism makes an impact. Having favoritism towards Hitler, his mother doesn’t know that she was creating as monster because he was not being correct when he was wrong or awarded when he did something good but since he got this twisted there was none of that and he thought that whatever he was doing was correct. Having such limit to correction, these habits were kept with Hitler all the way to his ruling and acted upon in the holocaust and WW2.

    ReplyDelete
  7. 4. When it comes to this psychoanalysis, it can be debatable. Some can say that this is incorrect because WW1 was something that he wasn’t involved in and anything else that he tried to do wasn’t because he thought his fate was greater. Others may disagree with this and say that everything he tried to do was his fate because he knew that he was going to be up there whenever he got the chance to actually show off his power. These actions came from his childhood raising and since it wasn’t the most correct way of rising up a kid, what they implemented in hither was later reflected in WW2 and the holocaust. Surviving something massive like WW1 and an attempt to overthrow the government gave Hitler the green light that he was meant to be preserved for something greater, sort of like immortal so that when the time came; he would be in charge of a great nation that later he would bring to destruction and debt.

    5. There’s a famous saying that says “keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.” there are rumors that Hitler acted upon this saying. Hitler had many homosexual associates working with him called Ernst Rohm and Heinrich Hoffmann. These men were just associates but behind the title of associates, there was a hatred that Hitler had. Once the holocaust began Hitler aimed for the Jews, gypsies and homosexuals. This was ironic how he had these gentlemen close to him but then ended up killing those who were like them. There are rumors till today that he was thought as homosexual himself so maybe hiding his identity behind his rigorous power was a plan he had in mind.

    6. I agree with this excerpt because he was letting this power that he had gained take over him. Over self-stem in a war isn’t a good idea, but low isn’t ether. I believe that everyone goes to war thinking they’re going to win if not that would be a dumb thing to do to go to war thinking your going to lose. Hitler let his egotistical-self fill up and rush into plans that were not appropriate for his victory. These plans only had one cause and one direction; it leads to them losing the war and bring Germany as part of the losers in WW2.

    7. this psychoanalysis is pretty easy to understand because we know that he was raised in a violent way and that it wasn’t write and because of this ALL this hatred build up in this man and when he obtained power, he used it to project his hatred to what to him didn’t deserve to live in the world. The holocaust was a massive and atrocious mistake Hitler ever made but if it wasn’t for his childhood, things probably would have been different and his plan to get rid of the Jews wouldn’t have occurred.

My reflection on the article was that it took Germany 92 years after world war 1. Germany made its final payments from the destruction of nations during the war. When Hitler had taken power he stopped Germany from paying their debts. Hitler felt that they shouldn't have been blamed for world war 1. After Hitler had stepped down Germany began paying again in 1980. German citizens still feel that Germany should still continue their financial impacts.
Question1. I disagree with this psychoanalysis because Adolf wasn't a bad kid his father just beat him because he was angry at Alois JR for not wanting a career in civil service.
Question2. I agree with this psychoanalysis because Adolf was raised around violence and almost everyday he was beaten. so when he got older that was the only way he could resolve his problems. so when he met the jews all he thought of was the violence.
Question3. I disagree with this psychoanalysis because Adolf was always beaten for everything he did so if he did someting right he got beaten by his dad not by his mom because he was her favorite. when he did something bad it was worse because he dad would beat him more and he had many close calls. but thats why Adolf didn't know what was right from wrong when he was at a young age.
Question4. I disagree with this psychoanalysis because he thought that living threw those tragic moments meant he had a greater purpose in life but those were close calls by god to have a second chance to do better in life not trying to take over the world.
Question5. This psychoanalysis to me is saying that Hitler was maybe a homosexual. It also said that Hitler had close friends that were homosexual and he put homosexuals in charge. But than again he had homosexuals kill and others put into concentration camps.
Question6. I agree with this psychoanalysis because Hitler was moving to fast and his main goal was to destroy all the jewish people.
Question7. I agree with this psychoanalysis because Hitler saw blonde hair blue eye Germans as better than every other race. than Hitler saw jews as not what he wanted so he decided to start getting rid of them.

Because of the treaty of Versailles, Germany had to pay a lot of money back. It was repeation money caused from the damage of Word war one, that Germany had to pay and it was a lot ($112 billion). That meant that Germany had to pay over a very long period a lot money back (92 Years). Germany's last reparation payment was only a cpouple of years from today ago, in 2010 on October 3rd.

I think it is crazy how it took Germany 92 years after the war to pay fully for its reparations which is vey ridicules. Hitler just made things worse with Germany making Germany look like they were the main cause of the war. I think the treaty of Versailles should have been a little fairer because Germany had to pay too much money and they had to worry about their economy and their own reparations.
    QUESTIONS:
    1. I disagree just because he was beaten badly it doesn’t mean that he would grow up to do the same because he could have grew up to be a better man and not make the same mistakes as his father.
    2. It agree and disagree at the same time, I agree since he was always beaten it impacted is life which could have changed the way he thought of people. I also disagree because Hitler could have learned that it felt terrible to beat people for no reason so he wouldn’t have done the same as his father.
    3. Yes I agree since he was young the beatings and not being corrected for doing something bad would mess up his mind and think that’s it’s alright to do bad things. Kids learn how to behave and act as a young child by watching how your parents act so maybe that’s why Hitler have killed people for no right reason.
    4. Yes I agree because if you have had been almost killed plenty of times but somehow you survive then you would think that your unstoppable. For example if he barley saw death he wouldn’t get comfortable with fate.
    5. I agree because I don’t think Hitler wanted anyone to know he was a homo sexual so he killed them to hide the fact that he was homo sexual. Someone would do the opposite to make people think differently about them.
    6. I agree because since he was accomplishing his main goal, maybe he thought if I could complete my main goal I could win bigger thing like war with other countries.
    7. I agree because Hitler didn’t want to see Jews because of the way they looked so violence was the way of solving his problem since he grew up with violence and parents who messed up his mind.

Germany's Last Reparation and Psychoanalysis of Hitler
    1. I disagree with this psychoanalysis for many reasons. Alois Jr. didn't want to follow in his father's footsteps and as a result Adolf had to suffer by getting beaten. He didn't do anything to anger his father yet he had to take the beating. Adolf's father was very strict and didn't like when his kids were disobedient. Adolf didn't disobey his father or ran way but faced punishment anyway. I doubt Adolf knew what he was when he was younger or what he would amount to so I don't think he was beaten for what he was.
    2. I agree with this psychoanalysis. I agree with it because children that are abused can carry that into adulthood. I think Adolf decided not to be traumatized by his childhood and in turn became a man of violence. I agree that Adolf took with him the violence he endured in his childhood into his adulthood and took it out on innocent people just like how he suffered when he was innocent.
    3. I agree with this psychoanalysis. The reason for that is because it seems as though Adolf wasn't taught right from wrong because he didn't face consequences at appropriate times. If he broke a rule he wasn't punished by his mother because he was her favorite. I think she shouldn't have let him off easy and that made him think breaking rules was okay. Adolf's father punished him even if he didn't do anything wrong and that could have messed with his head a little because he could have done something good and he could've thought doing something good was wrong. I think his mother not punishing him and his father punishing him made Adolf confused on what was wrong and what was right.
    4. I don't agree with this psychoanalysis. I believe Hitler for a long time before WWI wanted to be powerful. Hitler had a mission to be the most powerful man and I don't think that would change even though he had near death experiences. I think Hitler was always the most motivated as he can be because he thought he had potential.
    5. I disagree with this psychoanalysis because it shows Hitler betraying people. I find it to be unfair what he did to homosexuals. He said he liked homosexuals and considered them friends of his. For example, he had close associates who were homosexuals (Ernst Rohm & Heinrich Hoffmann) and he put homosexuals in charge of the Hitler Youth. He then decided that being a homosexual was wrong and was evil so had homosexuals put in concentration camps and killed. If Hitler felt like a part of him was being erased by killing homosexuals then he would've never done it. I believe he betrayed homosexuals just for more power and he didn't have sympathy.
    6. I agree with this psychoanalysis because Hitler's biggest goal was to exterminate all Jews and he wanted to be strategic about it. I believe he wanted to take his time and extend the war as opposed to ending the war quickly so that his plan works out .
    7. I agree with this psychoanalysis because of everything Hitler had to go through and endured during his childhood. He faced a lot of violence and hate while growing up and that may have factored into all the things he hated. The most known example for this is Hitler's hatred of Jews which he may have acquired during his childhood or had a recollection about this from his childhood. Hitler didn't like Jews at all and his way of fixing that problem was by extermination all of them.
    75 Word Essay
The article on Germany's reparation was a shocking read. I found it to be shocking because of the amount of time Germany took to pay reparations. Final reparations were just a couple years ago and that's baffling because Germany was defeated almost 100 years ago. I would understand why it took so long for Germany to pay the reparations because they were being asked for a lot. The cost for WWI was way too much.

    Psychoanalysis of Hitler
    1. I agree with this psychoanalysis because Hitler did have a specific reason to why he was the kind of guy he was. He presented himself as a tough and powerful man. I think Hitler was how he was because he had gotten beaten growing up by his father, which made him grow up to be harsh yet successful. He was raised tough but only because his father was so anger with his older son Alois Jr. disobeying him. His father strongly believed in obedience and respect and since his eldest son didn’t did the opposite; Adolf had to pay the consequences which weren’t fair. I also agree because it made him realize that he was a strong soldier with a brave soul for everything he had put up with as a child. He became very powerful because he was capable of defeating and overcoming any obstacle thrown his way.
    2. I strongly agree with this psychoanalysis, because as a child you grow up looking up to your parent as a hero or a role model, but in this case it was a negative impact on Hitler. Because of the beatings as a child by his father I think it lead him to grow up to be exactly like his father. He had so much anger and hatred towards him that he also became just as violent as he was. I guess it was practically normal for Hitler being raised like that, that he found it as nothing when it came to treating the Jews badly and unfairly as he was once treated.
    3. Yes I do agree with this psychoanalysis because Hitler was very confused to what was consider good and bad since he was discipline from his father and favorite by his mother. He didn’t know any better since his parents didn’t really impact him positively. I don’t blame him to have no sense of good and bad and never actually faced consequences.
    4. I also agree with this psychoanalysis because Hitler realized that he was very fortunate and lucky to have survived such bad experience which almost cost his life. Because of those negative experiences he understood that people wanted to see him fail instead of become successful so he figured he should show them how powerful and capable he was.
    5. I do not agree with this psychoanalysis because I find this very negative and unfair of Hitler to harm others because they are different. What Hitler did was very ignorant, because you shouldn’t judge someone by their sexuality or by what they like, not everyone’s the same. I find Hitler to be much closed minded when it came to homosexuals.
    6. I don’t agree with this psychoanalysis because Hitler was just making things worse for the powers and the wars taking place during the time. He was causing conflicts that shouldn’t even have begun in the first place. He did this because he felt as if he was in control of a lot already that he didn’t even care about how others felt he was being very selfish and arrogant.
    7. I agree with this psychoanalysis because Hitler was very much trying to get rid of the Jews completely in any way he could. He was willing to do anything in his power to see the Jews suffer only because he didn’t like anything about them which is very wrong of him. That didn’t look right because you should never treat someone bad, even if they might deserve it or even if for revenge it’s wrong. He was just so selfish and negative that he didn’t care at all about anyone but himself.

As the war came to an end Germany ended up being responsible for causing the war. Germany was filled with anger; they were forced to sign the treaty that demanded that poor loosing nation to pay for all the devastating damages they caused but if you look on the other side Germany wasn't the only nation causing devastation on other nation’s lands, look at France or the British, do you really think this is fair?

    Psychoanalysis of Hitler

    Question 1.
-In my opinion i would have to agree with this psychoanalysis because Adolf's father is simply beating him just because Adolf doesn't want to become like his father? I really think this is not necessary and even if you beat your child to make them become whatever you want will not change their mind, so basically he got beaten for what he was back in his childhood and for not what he did when reached to an older age.

    Question 2.
-I will have to agree to this psychoanalysis because when you're young you parents are the one who takes care of you and teach you what you will need in your future and for the rest of your life. In this case, Adolf got beaten so much, that in some point he never felt anything! This was which made him a cruel person, a person with no feelings towards other, a person who just developed hate in himself.

    Question 3.
-Yes i agree with this psychoanalysis because the reason why he didn't know what good and bad was because its common sense! If you chose to do bad mistake, your parents will most likely beat you. On the other side if you didn't they won't beat you! But in Adolf's case he was beaten if rather did or did not do something bad. So maybe in his mind doing something wrong or right might not affect him or other people, he didn't know what was good and what was bad for him.

    Question 4.
-In my opinion i would say there is a the right and wrong side for this psychoanalysis because i think before these close call events that happened to him, he didn't know what fate was, he didn't rely on his fate. After these calls was when he realized what fate really meant, the great role of what fate really does to a human being.

    Question 5.
-After reading this psychoanalysis i will have to say that what Hitler has done was really ungrateful of him. He had homosexual associates that worked with him, they helped him get through problems, but at the end he decides to trick many homosexuals and then kill them? I find this not very normal, but in my opinion, i think it was his childhood what had done to him that made him kill these homosexuals in the future, sounded like to me that he was a reckless person.

    Question 6.
-After reading this psychoanalysis, i would have to say that it looked like Hitler was extremely overwhelmed with the power he had, and with this he was letting the power get to his head, i don't think he knew that losing existed. He even declared war when it was absolutely unnecessary! Since he was overpowered at some point, he wanted to get rid of the Jews.

    Question 7.
-After reading the last psychoanalysis i would have to agree, because i think that Hitler's childhood was what made Hitler such a cruel person towards the Jews, maybe he wouldn't have done this if his father was so cruel to him.

    Psychoanalysis of Hitler
    1) I agree with this psychoanalysis. It is never good to beat someone (especally a child), altough it was in my opinion still ''usual'' to beat his children back than. In my opinion, back then it was ''okay'' to beat his children when they did something wrong and if they really screwed something up it is okay (not to beat them hard obiously). But if you beat your child, altough it did nothing wrong and your only mad at something else that happened, and need to beat someoe, I think this has a really big affect to the kid.
    2) I am not sure if you can make a direct conection between his hate to his vather and his hate against the Jews. Of course, the fact, that his dad almost killed him by beating him over and over again, until he couldn't cry or 'feel' anything, is a big piont of making him cold against, suffering, pain and violence. At the end this could have been leaded to his coldness against other people. (for example the Jews)
    3) I agree. How I already wrote in Point 1, I think, that it affectes your kid if you beat it for no reason. Sure, your child gets really confused in good and bad because when you get beaten without doing anything you certainly keep thinking about what you did wrong and so you have a wrong image of what is wrong and okay.
    4) I don't understand this
    5) In my opinion, he was very self destructive. (He also killed himself) And by destroying the homosexuals he was destroying himself more and more. I agree with that psychoanalysis . Everything that was 'wrong' in the eyes of his father was wrong in him and beeing homosexual was not 'normal' and not correspond to the entity. So he wanted to destroy it and so himself.
    6) Hitler was a trouble maker. This is eventually a cause of his childhood because he wanted to be the 'rebell' or do something without directly getting punished. He was too sure of himselfe and he tought he was better, stronger and smarter than anyone else. I agree.
    7) Sure, his childhood affected him a lot. I agree with that. But why punish the Jews? Was he falling in the same pattern like his dad? He punished and killed the Jews without any right or reason. And I honestly don't care about what made him do that. It is just wrong. On the other hand it was not just him. Tons and tons of people who worked at the concentration camps, were in my opinion, as mental sick as Hitler.

    75 word essay:
After world war one, Germany was blamed for causing the war and had to pay for everything. Germany had to pay 296 billion gold marks, which sucked because they didn’t have the money to pay the reparations. Since Germany was struggling to pay for all of the damages, it took her 92 years to finally finish paying. Hitler thought the Treaty of Versailles was unfair and came along to help Germany gain its power back.

    Psychoanalysis of Hitler:
    1. I disagree with this psychoanalysis because it isn’t fair that Adolf got beaten for what he was instead of getting beaten for what he did. It wasn’t Adolf’s fault that his brother, Alois Jr., didn’t want to show interest in a civil service career and it wasn’t his fault that his brother decided to run away.
    2. I agree with this psychoanalysis because due to all of the beatings that Adolf went through, it made him become a stronger person. Getting beaten a lot caused Adolf to stop crying and stop fearing things. So now that Adolf became strong and a man of harsh violence, it will help him achieve what he wants to fight for.
    3. I disagree with this psychoanalysis because as a young child, we should be able to know what is good and what is bad. If Adolf were to make a mistake/break the rule it wouldn’t make a difference to him because he would still get beaten. This way, he wouldn’t be able to know what he should change or keep the same, which is sad in the situation that he is going through.
    4. I agree with this psychoanalysis because although Adolf went through many things and almost died, he still managed to become stronger than he already was and he never gave up, which is good.
    5. I agree but also disagree with this psychoanalysis. I agree with it because he killed them due to the fact that he was starting to be seen as a homosexual himself and he didn’t want that to happen. I disagree with it because he worked with the homosexuals but didn’t hesitate to kill them or not he just did.
    6. I agree with this psychoanalysis because it shows that Hitler had a lot of confidence in himself. Hitler felt as if he was going to win the war, and I don’t blame because everyone wanted to win the war. For having so much confidence and not giving up on himself and trying to accomplish his major goal, he made mistakes but everyone makes mistakes in life.
    7. The only reason I may agree with this psychoanalysis is because everyone would want to be different in life. But, I also would disagree with it because everyone should be able to live, whether a person likes them or not.

  18. GERMANY’S REPARATIONS
    Word Count: 75
While I cannot be overjoyed that Germany was paying reparations for over 90 years, their hiatus of interest and payments is understandable due to the Great Depression and Hitler’s insistence, but the idea that modern Germany yet had to pay for a war that they could not have been wholly blamed for initially is odd and distresses me due to its unfairness. We could have had a conference to possibly absolve Germany of complete blame.
    PSYCHOANALYSIS OF HITLER
    1) Adolf’s father, Alois, was intolerant of disobedience, and he was angered at his eldest son’s (Alois, Jr.) disobedience and refusal to show interest in a civil service career that his father wanted for him. Alois, Jr. ran away and Adolf’s father took his resentment out on Adolf by beating him. It is from this experience that Hitler learned scapegoating. He was beaten for what he was, not necessarily what he did. Do you agree or disagree with this psychoanalysis? Why?
Given Hitler’s historically famous actions during the Holocaust, this psychoanalysis seems entirely plausible. Hitler placed many groups of minorities under the position of the ‘scapegoat’, persecuting the entire group severely simply for the characteristics with which he lumped them together and not for a distinct aspect or action each individual possessed or was guilty of. As he underwent the same treatment, this experience probably influenced him to inflict it on others.
    2) Adolf’s beatings were severe and one almost lead to death. He resolved that no matter how severe the beatings, he no longer cried. By this feat, he considered himself the winner of their confrontations. And not crying may have helped with his father; Alois stopped beating him. A child who hates a parent nonetheless imitates and takes in aspects of their parent. Later in life, Adolf would become a man of ruthless violence, which would later be applied to the Jews. Do you agree or disagree with this psychoanalysis? Why?
I agree that Adolf’s intimate relations with violence would certainly give him a tendency towards using it upon others. He became desensitized and taught himself to suppress or cut off emotional reactions to such violence which would make it much easier to persecute and massacre others in the extremely violent and inhumane fashion that became his trademark. An adult in control also displaying these tendencies would have also shown Hitler that they were acceptable.
    3) Adolf's sense of good and bad was confused at a young age. No matter what rule he broke, he rarely had to deal with consequences - not from his mother because she didn't punish him since he was her favorite, and not from his father because he was beaten even if he had not broken any rule. Do you agree or disagree with this psychoanalysis? Why?
This makes many of Hitler’s actions much more understandable as the Holocaust and World War Two were so extreme and with such long-lasting and immediate consequences that many wonder how he could have embarked upon that path. If one considers that he simply couldn’t comprehend the consequences of his actions, the liberties he took are relatively more understandable.
    4) Hitler had many close calls - his regiment in WWI had been reduced from 3,600 to 611, he was injured twice in WWI yet survived, and he survived a failed attempt to overthrow the government. Adolf’s near-death survivals convinced him of his fate to have a greater role. Do you agree or disagree with this psychoanalysis? Why?
While I agree with this statement as Adolf was extremely egotistical and narcissistic in his thinking and expression, giving the direct impression that he considered others well unequal to himself, I must also say that these near-death experiences would also have given him a sense of invincibility, that he could do as he liked and take innumerable risks and yet emerge relatively unharmed time and time again.

    ReplyDelete
  19. 5) Hitler had a mincing step and limp-wristed gestures, a tender way of touching his chest and cupping his hands around his face and his easily aroused weeping, He also made homosexuals in charge of Hitler Youth and some of his closest associates were well-known homosexuals, like Ernst Rohm and Heinrich Hoffmann. There is enough to suggest a kinship with homosexuals and that in destroying them, he was effacing part of himself. Reserving himself when in power, he denounced homosexuals among his Storm Troopers and had many killed. Do you agree or disagree with this psychoanalysis? Why?
I do not fully agree with this psychoanalysis as there is not sufficient evidence for me to comfortably conclude that Hitler was homosexual or even bisexual. While the points mentioned by Victor do suggest such an assessment, the descriptions of his person and character are partially irrelevant. While these characteristics are somewhat common among gay men, they are not constantly true nor isolated to the group. Given Hitler’s rough childhood, his gestures and sensibility may have simply been a result of his victimization. His friendships and ‘associations’ with known homosexuals may have simply proven that he was originally an accepting man and later changed his mind as psychotic persons are wont to do.
    6) Hitler let hundreds of thousands of British and French troops evacuate from Dunkirk after having been trapped by the Germans, he stopped the Battle of Britain to start fighting the Soviet Union, and declared war on the United States when he didn’t have to. These obvious military mistakes were caused because Hitler believed he was winning the war too quickly. His ultimate goal was to prolong the war so he could accomplish his real objective—the extermination of the Jews. Do you agree or disagree with this psychoanalysis? Why?
While this seems entirely plausible, I do not feel informed enough to decide whether the author’s assumptions are correct. I am slightly surprised at Victor’s statement that the annihilation of the Jews was Hitler’s main goal and his implication that the revenge for Germany’s treatment following WWI was simply a cover and means of persuasion also comes as a surprise. I believe that Hitler’s motivations would have been more complex, but his volatility and unpredictable decisions fall in line with his mental illness.
    7) Hitler was trying to get rid of the Jews because it was a way to purge himself of all the qualities he didn’t like. Parallels can be drawn between Hitler and the Jews in regards to tainted blood, not working, evading military service, egoism, corrupting Germany moral in family values, corrupt business practices and used people. Do you agree or disagree with this psychoanalysis? Why?
Hitler’s understanding of the stereotypes placed upon the Jews in Germany may have been relatable to his own qualities and labels that had been placed upon him, so this analysis seems likely but shallow. Hitler must have understood that this group did not fulfill these stereotypes so much so that they deserved such treatment simply because he wished to cleanse himself of the traits his father had beaten him for. Hitler’s decisions and prejudices were far more complex.

Germany’s Last Reparation: 75 Word Essay
Germany paid their reparation payments for 92 years after they were defeated in World War One. Germany had to pay 269 billion gold marks, but Germany knew that this amount of gold marks was impossible to pay. It was lowered down to 112 billion gold marks. It was surprising that Germany had some reparation payments in the 20th century that they still had to pay. That is what I got from Germany final reparations packet.

    Psychoanalysis of Hitler
    1. I disagree with the psychoanalysis because Alois Jr. did not want to follow any of his father’s interest in civil service career and with Alois running away, Hitler had to take all the beating. Hitler’s father was a very strict person about his children not obeying him. Adolf never disobeys or ran away like Alois did, but still had to take the punishments. I think Hitler could have forgotten the past and not resemble on what his father did to him in his childhood.

    2. I agree with the Psychoanalysis because children that were beating a lot by their parents in their childhood would bring them into their adulthood. I think Hitler took the entire trauma that he had on his childhood beatings to turn into violence. The reason of this was that he took the trauma that he had into an act of violence to innocent people because he want to see other people suffer like he did as a child when he was innocent.

    3. I agree with the psychoanalysis because Hitler was not taught the right way on being right from wrong, it is because of the way their parents treated him differently. When Hitler broke a rule he was not punished for it by his mother because he was his mother’s favorite child. This could have made Hitler think that breaking rules was ok because he would not get in trouble. Hitler’s father punished Hitler for no reason and that is probably when Hitler was confused about right or wrong. He was punished for being innocent and the other he was not punished for breaking a rule. Hitler was really confused about what is right and what is wrong.

    4. I do not agree with the psychoanalysis because I think Hitler’s long time goal was being a powerful man around the world. He had to take many sacrifices that he even experienced death situations, but he would do what it ever takes to be a powerful man and be respected. He was motivated on achieving his goal because he knew that he had so much potential on being a powerful man and there was nothing that would change his goal.

    5. I do not agree with the psychoanalysis because what Hitler did to the homosexuals was portraying the people that you were cool with. I do not know what mind that Hitler had on homosexuals that made him want to get rid of them and kill all of them. He even worked with homosexuals and Adolf considers them as associates. I really think that Hitler had no reason to kill the homosexuals even though he used to associate with them. The only thing I could think of Hitler killing homosexuals was if he was one of them and did not want know one to have any suspicions about him being homosexual that could ruin his reputation.

    6. I agree with the psychoanalysis because Hitler had a goal on torturing and eliminating all the Jews, but he had to have a good strategic mind on accomplishing this goal. I think it was a way for Hitler to take his time than ending the war quickly so his plan could work perfectly.

    7. I agree with the psychoanalysis because Hitler had to go through and experience so much during his childhood. Violence and hate in his childhood could have affected him on being a cruel man and have so much hatred towards many things. For example, probably in his child hood there was some reason that he hated Jews, which wanted him as a grown powerful man to try to make them suffer and exterminate all of them.

In the article, it indicates Germany finish paying the debt on Oct 3 due to the closing, its 92 years later after the end of World War I. Germany, was forced to sign the Treaty of Versailles to paid huge amount of reparation fee and the Treaty are still having finical impact today. Hitler came in with powers to help Germany and himself to achieve goals. But Germany did not solve a lot of problems.
    Psychoanalysis of Hitler:
    1. I disagree with this psychoanalysis because is not right for Alois to frustrate his anger on Adolf, especially that’s his son. Alois had no controlled on choosing a life for Alois Jr., and by the way he didn’t like it because that’s not what he wanted. Alois Jr. escape and disobedience his father Alois’ decision, than Alois get anger and beat Adolf.
    2. I agree with this psychoanalysis because Adolf’s childhood experience is in a confrontation mood and his father is beating and rude to him. Which make it possible for Adolf to become a more rude man after he grown up.
    3. I agree and disagree with this psychoanalysis because Adolf easily got confused with what is right to do or wrong, which the result will affect him after he grows up (agree). I disagree with his mother like Adolf in a way and no punish even broke the rules. And Adolf’s father punished him no matter he broke the rules or not; there shouldn’t be any punishment when you did something right. Parents should correct their kids when they did something wrong, in a way to make them learn from their mistakes.
    4. I agree with this psychoanalysis because Adolf’s “near-death survivals” persuade Hitler to be to be stronger and nothing is impossible if you had try all your best that no matter is fail or succeed, and survival is the same thing.
    5. I disagree with this psychoanalysis because Hitler had associate with the homosexuals before. But suddenly Hitler just put homosexuals into concentration camps and just killed right away. They did nothing that against you, why you killing them for no reason. You just ended one life without reason and does he know that’s a life and not something else.
    6. I disagree with this psychoanalysis because Hitler just ended a war and right on back declared a new war in other country just to accomplish his goals; to kill all the Jews. And believing himself won too quickly.
    7. I disagree with this psychoanalysis because Hitler had no rights to kill someone just because he don’t like them and they didn’t do anything wrong in the way; also no expectations for everyone to be the same as you.

  22. 75 WORD ESSAY
It is truly amazing that an economical penalty set almost 100 years ago just got settled. After World War 1, Germany and her allies had lost; and the Treaty of Versailles was written to punish the losers. Along with the humiliation Germany suffered, they had to pay an exorbitant sum in reparations to the Allies which went into the billions. Such amount’s final installment was paid in October 3rd 2010, an astounding 91 years after.
    PSYCHOANALISIS
    1. I agree with this section, his dad’s behavior towards him is seems to explain some of Hitler’s actions. Such as ordering the extermination of certain groups not necessarily because of actions they did (although he created some reasons for the public) but because of who those people were. It is common knowledge today that beating a child without reason will result in some mental disorders and empathy issues.
    2. I feel that the beatings would have suppressed Hitler’s emotions and just built up more hate and anger inside him. So I agree with the statement mostly, except with the statement “which would be later applied to the Jews”. I feel that statement is wrong because it excludes all the other groups, such as gypsies, who were murdered.
    3. I indeed agree. Hitler never knew what was good or right at all, if he did nothing he was physically harmed, and if he broke a rule there was no retaliation (case in which it would have been necessary). And I feel that this happened way until he was Germany’s leader, for example when he invaded Poland there was little to no retaliation by the Allies (thanks to Chamberlain’s appeasement policy).
    4. I agree again, Hitler already had a smaller superiority complex, and thanks to those near-death experiences he would have thought that God had a special purpose for him and that he was destined to accomplish something great. Well, pretty much anyone with near-death experiences and a religious background or a belief in destiny/fate would reason that his or her survival is a signal that he/she is not to die yet and needs to achieve something.
    5. I didn’t truly understand the argument here. To my understanding: Hitler had effeminate ways and was close to homosexuals, and once he rose to power he wanted to eliminate a part of his own self so he exterminated homosexuals. I don’t understand Hitler’s reasons to his actions enough to agree or disagree. But I would agree in that he wanted to eradicate a part of himself due to traumas suffered during his childhood.
    6. I don’t agree here, I think Hitler was too good of a war strategist to “sell the pelt before killing the bear”. But perhaps his own superiority complex and confidence lead him to think so. I am doubtful about the statement “to prolong the war so he could accomplish his real objective- the extermination of Jews”. I feel that is, in my opinion, suspicious; since the media and corporate world is mainly Jewish I think this statement was made to accommodate to their views and not the facts; whichever they were.
    7. I agree with this one, Hitler’s severe trauma very probably lead him to hate himself, so he exterminated those who fit his characteristics in an act of “self-destruction” to end all those who reminded his bad traits.

    75 word essay:
After 92 years, Germany has finally paid off all their reparation payments after their loss in World War 1. I had always known that Germany owed a lot to the allies but it is just mind boggling at how long it took them to officially pay them off. I had always thought that Germany stopped all their reparation payments when the Great Depression happened but I guess that wasn't the case. WW1 cost Germany a lot.

    Psychoanalysis of Hitler:
1.Hitler had learned scapegoating through his father’s beatings. After reading this, Hitler’s resentment toward the Jews makes a little more sense to me now. I would agree with this psychoanalysis because if Hitler’s own father could beat him just for what he was, then Hitler sooner or later would develop the same ability to hate something for what it was.

2.I agree with this psychoanalysis because I think that it is true how a child whether they hate their parents or not nevertheless take on aspects of their parents. It also makes sense how Hitler would be a man of violence because it had been a part of his life for a very long time.

3.I can agree with this psychoanalysis. Hitler was never beaten by his mother because he was her favorite child and he would be beaten by his father even if he hadn't broken a rule. It would make sense how he would be confused on what was right and what was wrong. This would explain why Hitler saw nothing wrong with punishing the Jews.

4.I agree and disagree with this psychoanalysis. I can see where Hitler got the idea that he was fated to have a greater role and if he was truly meant to die, he would have been killed long ago. What makes be disagree with this psychoanalysis is the simple fact that Hitler had just been very lucky. I’m sure there were other soldiers who had close calls near death experiences.

5.I can agree with this psychoanalysis. Basically what I got from reading this psychoanalysis is that Hitler at one point had been okay with homosexuals and could have possibly been homosexual himself. Hitler probably came to the realization that homosexuality was a weakness and if he truly wanted to be a powerful leader, homosexuality couldn't be tolerated. It would make sense that in destroying homosexuals, Hitler was destroying a part of himself he thought was weak.

6.I disagree with this psychoanalysis. The reason why is because I don’t believe that Hitler’s objective was to exterminate the Jews. All Hitler wanted was to make Germany stronger. Yes, he was quite hostile towards them but it was probably because he thought they were keeping Germany from its true potential.

7.I disagree with this psychoanalysis because I don’t think that by destroying the Jews, Hitler was purging himself of all his bad qualities. Once again I state that all Hitler wanted was to make Germany stronger. He was so hell bent on it that he was willing to take down anything he thought would make Germany weak an unfortunately Jewish people were one of those things. If destroying the Jews was what it would take to make Germany a great power then so be it. This was probably what Hitler thought.

    75 word Essay:
The article "Germany Closes Book on World War I final Reparations Payment" by David Crossland, it is about Germany finally closing book on paying for the reparations of the first world war. It is totally unfair that the payment lasted ninety-two years. It also talked about France and Britain and how they needed Germany to repay their own debts, which was unfair for Germany. At the end, Germany settled about eight of its treaty obligations.

    Psychoanalysis of Hitler Answers:

    1) I do not agree with this psychoanalysis because it was not Hitler's fault that Alois Jr. did not show interest in a civil service. Therefore, he should had not been beaten.
    2) I do agree with this psychoanalysis but then again I do not, because it all depends on the person. I say this because I personally know someone who was beaten and this person is not violent. But on the other hand, I know someone who was beaten and this person is very violent and gets in many fights.
    3) I agree with this psychoanalysis because if I was Hitler I would not know what is good and what is bad because I would've been beaten for doing nothing and not punished for actually doing something. Therefore, I believe Hitler had no knowledge in what was correct and what was wrong.
    4) I do not see how those incidents connect to him having a greater role. Maybe he was just alive by coincidence and not by faith.
    5) I disagree with this psychoanalysis because Hitler was just crazy. If he was homosexual, why kill people who are like him? I guess it has to do with the fact that he did not know what was good and what was bad.
    6) I do not agree with this psychoanalysis because Hitler did want to destroy the Jews and was such a negative person. Therefore, I believe this is true.
    7) I do not agree with this psychoanalysis because Hitler did not have the right to kill someone just because he did not like them. It is morally wrong. But then again, since he was a kid, he did not know what was good or bad.

  25. Germany and its final Reparations payment
In the reading about how long it took Germany to pay off all the reparations from World War 1 is just insane. I’m going to bring up the point Jack was talking about in class when he said that he didn’t think it was fair modern Germany had to pay for old Germanys mistakes. I’m going to say this… they should not have been putting it off to pay another day. That’s just me. Bye.

    Hitler Psychoanalysis
    1. I would both agree and disagree. I say this because I would say he got beat when he tried to put blame on others (Scapegoating) but then again I would say I’m in the middle about saying he was beaten for what he was not for what he did because he did also get beat by his father because his brother ran away.
    2. Yes I agree with this psychoanalysis because it’s true. Adolf took after his fathers ruthless ways of violence and you can see he took it out on the Jews when he later came into power. So yes I do agree with this psychoanalysis.
    3. I would say to a certain extent he was confused. When he broke rules he was obviously disciplined by his father because he was the one who ruthlessly beat him. But he was beaten even when he didn’t break any rules so I would somewhat agree with this psychoanalysis.
    4. I would disagree. I would say that is what would make a crazy person, well you know… crazy. You get injured twice in war, survive then survive an attempt to overthrow the government. I would think after so many close calls you would say you had enough, but Hitler didn’t think in that type of way.
    5. I’m not so sure on which side I fall onto in this psychoanalysis. I wouldn’t agree or disagree, but if I had to I would say I disagree. Disagree because he could have just had been friends with people who were homosexuals and he could have been a man with more of his feminine side to him. But again, I don’t know which side I agree with because I would have to get more information on how Hitler acted towards people in order to come up with an assumption that he is homosexual and trying to get rid of them so he looks like a strong leader… I don’t know.
    6. Again, I could agree to a certain extent, but me not knowing that much about World War 2 would quickly agree with this psychoanalysis. Maybe Hitler didn’t want the war to end to quickly… maybe it was an honest mistake. In order for me to actually agree on this psychoanalysis I would have to know more on World War 2.
    7. I don’t agree with this psychoanalysis (so therefor I disagree) because I felt like he only got rid of Jews because he felt like they didn’t belong in the world (which is a horrible thing to think). So I don’t feel like he only got rid of them because he wanted to get rid of all qualities he didn’t like about himself, other, or probably resemblances of his father.

    summary total of 75 words:
From the reading I noticed that the Treaty of Versailles had a huge amount debt. On oct.3 Germany finished paying for all the damage they caused in World War 1. Germany hated the treaty of versailles very much because they made them struggle because they were blamed for all the damage and they had to pay for their damage and everyone else’s which wasn’t fair. All germany wanted was to finish paying their debts.

    Psychoanalysis of Hitler:
    1. I disagree with this psychoanalysis because it wasn’t right for Adolfs to beat hitler just because he the older son ran away. In my opinion I think Hitler was the way he was because of the way he was raised and cause of the beaten his father gave him. His father shouldn’t of took out his anger on Hitler because now Hitler grew up with anger inside.
    2. I agree with this psychoanalysis because its true when they say that parents are like role models for their kids. When Adolf was beating Hitler he grew up with all that pain and anger inside till he got older and did the same thing to the jews. Hitler was just following his fathers footsteps since that is watch he seen while he was growing up
    3. I agree with this psychoanalysis because Hitler didn’t know what was right from wrong. He was his mother’s favorite she seen nothing bad coming from him. Now from his father he would show him from right or wrong when he beat him that is how hitler knew when he did something right or wrong.
4.In my opinion I agree with this psychoanalysis because this just showed Hitler that he is very strong man and can keep succeeding in life. He gained better roles during World War 1 and got a lot more power
    5. I really disagree with this psychoanalysis due to the fact that hitler made these homosexuals work for him then got them killed. I would really like to know what was the reason for that ? why make them work for you then at the end kill them ? was the work that they did bad ? what is that they didn’t do the job right so he just felt the need to kill them ? Those are questions that I would like to find out about.
6.I agree with this because hitler caused a lot of damage. He thought that he was winning and that he would have or gain more power but in reality he was just making things worst. He caused more issues to happen. He let all that power take control of him he thought he was a tough guy and was in the lead.
7.I disagree with this because once again hitler had no right to kill because just because he didn’t like them. Everybody is different but I guess back in those days nobody cared they would just kill people for the fun of it . In my own opinion I don’t think it was fair for it to do that so I disagree with this.

Germany's Last Reparation and Psychoanalysis of Hitler
In the article “Germany Closes Book on ww1 with the Final Reparations payment” By David Crossland, he talks about Germany and how their last reparation payment for ww1 led them to the debt of the Versailles treaty. Also, David speaks about Hitler had part of Germanys “sense of injustice” in the treaty that led Germany’s role of responsibility of the war that had a part of their offensive payments. It caused a lot of frustrations.

    1) I disagree with this Psychoanalysis because it wasn’t his fault. How rough it was to even live with a father like that. He got beaten for something that he was, and not for what he did. That absolutely makes no sense. His father took his resentment out on Hitler, because the older son ran away, that doesn’t make it right to beat him.
    2) I agree, because he was raised being beat by his father, no wonder he became a ruthless violent man. He got immune to being beat and just didn’t have any more feelings left in him. He stops crying, and just dealt with it although some of it were very severe and it could have been led to death. In a way he being a merciless man and applying all his hate towards the Jews was a way of being like his father.
    3) I agree because at this point of his life he didn’t know any better. He was punished by his father for no reason. Usually a parent would beat or punish a child when they do something completely wrong, but his father did the complete opposite and beat him to let out his resentment of a son that ran away. So Hitler got away with breaking rules, so this would make sense if his sense of good and bad was mixed up.
    4) Yes, I agree because if he survived a failed attempt to overthrow the government, then he should have a lot of confidence left in him. So in being said Hitler probably had a lot of great violent plans left.
    5) I agree, because this was obviously a way of covering up the myth that he was a homosexual. How do you just make associates that you well-known apart of something so big, then just betrayed them. That doesn’t add up, so therefore Hitler reversed himself in power and denounced homosexuals among troopers. On top of that he got many of them killed.
    6) I don’t agree with this because he got a lot of power. Since getting rid of the Jews was the only thing on his mind, then that’s what he is going to do.
    7) I agree because if that’s what he set his mind to do then, he will do whatever it takes. Also the thing that would fall in between to try and stop his goal he would destroy.
