1. Analyze the impact WWI had on Ireland?
Around 200,000 Irishmen served in the British army during World War 1. While most Irishmen signed up for war for the sake of justice, others were influenced by the Nationalists and the Unionists; two political groups that divided Ireland since 1914.
2.Describe the Home Rule Association. Who was the founder? What are they responsible for?
The Home rule Association was founded in 1870 by Isaac Butt and later on led by Charles Stuart Parnell. The Association strived for Irish self-government within the British Empire. It was responsible for creating land reform and Irish parliament.
3.Explain the role Charles Stuart Parnell has with the Home Rule Association.
Charles Stuart Parnell was elected president of the Home Rule Association in 1879. He wanted to give Irish farmers the right to own their own land. Parnell traveled to America to raise money for land reform.
4. Compare and Contrast the Wyndham Land Act to Birrell’s Land Act.
The Wyndham Land Act of 1903 “provided loans to tenants at reduced interest for the purchase of land and gave bonuses to landlords”(infoplease.com). This differed from Birrell’s Land act of 1909 because the Birrell’s land act authorized compulsory purchases on large areas of land.
5.Examine the Irish Land League and their responsibility.
The Irish Land League was an association created to give aid to poor tenants. “Its aims were to get more rights for tenant farmers and reduce evictions.”( wesleyjohnston.com). A strategy that the Irish Land League used was boycotts in order for landlords to receive no rent.
6.Identify the Reform Act and its purpose.
The Reform act of 1832 altered the voting structure of England and Wales. It gave voting privileges of the wealthy to those who were less fortunate.
7.Compare and contrast the following: First Home Rule bill; Second Home Rule bill; and Third Home Rule bill.
The First Home Rule bill was created in 1886 by William Gladstone. Its purpose was to create a separate Irish legislator while still keeping a hold powers such as taxation. In 1893, the Second Home Rule bill was passed by the Liberals at the House of Commons. It allowed the Irish to have a say at Westminster on Irish taxation. Like the Second Home Rule bill, the Third Home Rule bill was also passed by the House of Commons. The only difference between the Second and Third bill is that the Third bill would have given police more power. The First bill was completely rejected and as a result, the conservative government created the policy of land reform
8.Analyze the Irish Parliamentary Party.
ReplyDeleteThe Irish Parliamentary Party (IPP) was founded in 1882. It stemmed from Isaac Butt’s Home Rule Association which was created back in 1870 and it became a very successful party under the leadership of Charles Stuart Parnell. “He created a highly centralized, disciplined and modern party. All its candidates were pledged to sit, vote and act as directed”( bbc.co.uk). Parnell managed to gain the support of the Catholic Hierarchy and by the late 1800s, the IPP “won up to 86 of Ireland’s 103 Commons seats.”( bbc.co.uk). After the death of Parnell in 1891, the IPP broke up into two faction and never fully recuperated the popularity it once had when it was under the leadership of Parnell.
9.Discuss Irish Nationalists.
The nationalists had different view on the future of Ireland than the Unionists. The nationalists wanted Ireland to become its own nation by Northern and Southern Ireland coming to together to create an Ireland republic. The Unionists believed that Ireland should remain a part of the UK. The Social Democratic and Labor Party were two parties that the Nationalists were involved in. Both parties were founded in 1970 and supported by mostly Catholics.
10.Describe in detail the First Sinn Fein.
The first Sinn Fein was founded by Arthur Griffith. The Sinn Fein assembled in both Northern Ireland and the republic of Ireland. It was a nationalist party that represented Roman Catholics who believed that Ireland should become its own nation by whatever means necessary, even it meant displaying violence.

1. - World War One had a huge impact on Ireland. Known at the time as The Great War it focused in Europe and started on 28 July 1914 and went on until 11 November 1918. In excess of 200,000 Irishmen presented with British powers throughout the war with judgement of between 28,000 and 49,000 murdered.
2. - The Home Government Association, calling for an Irish parliament, was shaped in 1870 by Isaac Butt, a Protestant legal lawyer who advanced "Home Rule" as the development's motto. In 1873 the Home Rule League supplanted the affiliation, and Butt's moderate initiative soon offered route to that of the more forceful Charles Stewart Parnell. Requests for area change and education were added to the Irish program, and Parnell's opponents strategies in the British Parliament broadcasted his nation's grievances. Head administrator William E. Gladstone was changed over to Home Rule by 1885, however it was rejected by Parliament in 1886. Gladstone presented a second Home Rule Bill in 1893, it was crushed in the House of Lords. The third bill needed to hold up for an alternate Liberal service its presentation in 1912 aggravated the aggressor restriction of both unionists and republicans in Ireland. The bill got to be law Sept. 18, 1914, yet was defective for the length of time of World War I. After years of clash, a framework similar to Home Rule was secured in the six areas of Ulster by the Government of Ireland Act.
3. - Parnell brought the entire issue of Home Rule to the cutting edge of British governmental issues He served to make a political gathering that had order and could work effectively at Westminster Parnell successfully courted the backing of Britain's most vital legislator around then William Gladstone Parnell demonstrated that there were areas of the British station who might remain absolutely determined to undermine the reason for the Irish.
4. - The Wyndham Land Act purpose was to, alleviate any problems of Irish farm ownership through out justice to the landlords as well as peasants. While, the Birrell’s Land Act presented mandatory buy which obliged landowners to offer/sell.
5.- Land League, Irish agrarian association that worked for the change of the nation's landlord system under British principle. The league was established in October 1879 by Michael Davitt, the child of an evicted sharecropper and a part of the Fenian (Irish Republican) Brotherhood. Davitt required Charles Stewart Parnell, pioneer from the Irish Home Rule Party in the British Parliament, to direct the alliance this joining of the area change development with parliamentary action constituted another takeoff in the Irish national movement last succeeded was proposed by the Whigs, headed by the Prime Minister Lord Gray. The association's project was based upon the "three F's": reasonable rent, fixity of residency, and free offer of the right of occupancy. The section in 1881 of Gladstone's Land Act, limiting the benefits of landowners, was a triumph for the group. Parnell's undeniably savage discourses, prompted his capture on Oct. 13, 1881, and the alliance approached occupants to withhold all rents. The legislature utilized this "no-rent pronouncement" as a guise for its concealment of the group on October 20.
6.- The Reform Act of 1832 purpose was to "take adequate Measures for adjusting jumpers Abuses that have since a long time ago predominated in the Choice of Members to serve in the Commons House of Parliament". In where it finally succeeded and was proposed by the Whigs, headed by the Prime Minister Lord Gray.It met with huge resistance from the Pittite factions in Parliament that had administered the nation for so long restriction was particularly declared in the House of Lords. As a
result of public pressure, the bill was in the end passed. The Act allowed seats in the House of Commons to huge urban communities that had sprung up throughout the Industrial Revolution, and took away seats from the "spoiled boroughs" those with little electorates. The Act additionally expanded the amount of people qualified for vote, expanding the general size of the electorate from about 500,000 to 813,000, and permitting what added up to one out of six males to vote, out of an aggregate populace of almost 14 million.
ReplyDelete7.- The first home rule bill, Irish questions would be answered by an Irish parliament which differs from the second bill, parliaments in Westminster has to do with issues such as army , foreign policies and custom duties while the third bill, Irish members would still be in Westminster. All three home rule bills has to do with the Irish as well as Westminster but they differ since each bill has their own unique way of it working, which means they have their own way of making things work within the Irish.
8.- The Irish Parliamentary Party (IPP) was structured in 1882. It had started in the Home Government Association which was made in 1870 by Isaac Butt, a Member of Parliament, scholastic and counselor.Butt got persuaded that Britain was misusing Irish issues. His patriot emotions were moved while representing the safeguard of some Fenian prisoners between 1865-68. In the 1880s, the IPP formed into an effective, famous and fruitful gathering under Parnell's charming initiative. He made a very unified, taught and cutting edge party. Parnell exploited Ireland's developing political awareness and the enlargement of the establishment, championed area change and pulled in the backing of the Catholic order. He misused positive circumstances at Westminster, remarkably Gladstone's transformation to home run in 1885. By the late 1880s, the IPP reliably won up to 86 of Ireland's 103 Commons seats. At the point when the war in Europe started in 1914, Redmond eagerly backed Britain's military exertion, somewhat to win its appreciation and additionally in the confused trust that he could in this way lay the premise for another feeling of solidarity in Ireland itself. His party`s backing declined quickly taking after the Easter Rising, and the last disappointment of transactions with respect to home administer in 1916, when he mollified his position on segment. The IPP was everything except decimated by Sinn Féin in the 1918 decision; its representation tumbled from in excess of 70 seats to only 6.
9.- Irish patriotism declares that the Irish individuals are a country. Since the part of Ireland, the term by and large alludes to backing for a united Ireland. Irish patriots declare that manage from London has been to the drawback of Irish interests. One of the main barriers to Home Rule for a long time had been the House of Lords. The House of Lords saw the presentation of Home Rule as the begin of the procedure whereby the force of London was decreased, first in Ireland and then the pioneer of the Irish Nationalist Party, John Redmond, had expressed unmistakably in 1910 that it was the Lord's veto alone that separated Ireland and an effective Home Rule bill. In return for supporting the administration, Redmond needed something as an exchange, Home Rule. At the point when the Lords dismisses the Home Rule bills of 1886 and 1893, there was scarcely a whine of challenge in terrain Britain.A lot of people in Ireland agreed that this was the energetic thing to do even rely on supporters of Home Rule. They saw the danger of Germany as being a far more excellent issue to succeed. Numerous Irishmen joined the call to arms and battled in Western Europe.
ReplyDelete10. - Sinn Féin is the name of the Irish political gathering established in 1905 by Arthur Griffith. Sinn Féin gave a center to Irish patriotism and Irish Republicanism in its different structures. Its part throughout the Irish Civil War in 1922 and throughout the Troubles in 1969 has had an emotional impact on legislative issues in Ireland and in Northern Ireland right up until the present time. It enveloped political rationalities from the left and right, republican and monarchist and a few more. The gathering today be that as it may, is a republican, left-wing and mainstream party.

1. Analyze the impact WWI had on Ireland?
Prior to the outbreak of the Great War, there were already quite a few Irishmen serving in the British Army and Navy. Most Irishmen fought with the British, but others were against helping Britain and did not go to war. The large amount of soldiers lost and the turmoil of war gave the Nationalists an opportunity to initiate a rebellion and proclaim independence for Ireland. The rebellion began in 1916, but it was a failure. The British falsely accused the Sinn Fein of being the initiator of the uprising, which helped gain sympathy for their party and their victory in the next elections.
2. Describe the Home Rule Association. Who was the founder? What are they responsible for?
The Home Rule Association (or Home Government Association) advocated for Irish self-government while remaining a part of the British Empire. It was founded in 1870 by Isaac Butt [laughing internally]. They were responsible for “leaking” Ireland’s problems and issues to the British Parliament.
3. Explain the role Charles Stuart Parnell has with the Home Rule Association.
Parnell was the president of the HRA after Isaac Butt. His administration is described as more aggressive when compared to Butt’s. (Britannica) He was the one who made their issues public to the British, and who advocated for Irish land reform.
4. Compare and Contrast the Wyndham Land Act to Birrell’s Land Act.
First of all, the Wyndham Land Purchase Act was proposed by the Conservatives, whereas the Birrell Land Purchase Act was presented by Liberals; this difference in origin means that their terms will be also different. Both acts wanted to solve the land problem going on in Ireland. The Wyndham Act allowed landlords to have a choice to sell or not, but the Birrell Act made sale mandatory for landlords.
5. Examine the Irish Land League and their responsibility.
The Irish land League had the responsibility to aid poor tenants in purchasing land for their farms. They also aimed to prevent evictions and to gain better treatment for tenants.
6. Identify the Reform Act and its purpose.
The Reform Act was made in order to change the political and electoral structure of Ireland. The main goal was to give the poorer people of Ireland a say in Parliament and take power away from the rich. It also empowered the Catholics who previously did not have much power to vote.
7. Compare and contrast the following: First Home Rule bill; Second Home Rule bill; and Third Home Rule bill.
ReplyDeleteThe First Home Rule Bill was not passed by the House of commons, whereas the Second and Third did get passed. The First Bill’s purpose was to establish an order of Irish representatives whilst allowing Britain to keep control over some aspects of Ireland. The Second Bill aimed to also introduce more Irish Members of Parliament to give Ireland a say in Parliament. The Third Home Rule Bill reduced the number of Irish Members of Parliament and abolished British administration at Dublin (known as Dublin Castle).
8. Analyze the Irish Parliamentary Party.
The IPP came from the HRA, under Parnell’s administration. They followed Isaac Butt’s ideas although in a more aggressive and militant way. Parnell’s death caused the party to fragment into other groups with different views on Home Rule, and eventually the party was overshadowed by Nationalists.
9. Discuss Irish Nationalists.
Irish Nationalists wanted Ireland to be a united state (North and South union) independent from Britain. The vast majority of Nationalists were Catholic, while Unionists followed Protestantism. Nationalists tended to use more aggressive tactics and even recurred to terrorism (IRA attacks for example).
10. Describe in detail the First Sinn Fein.
The Sinn Fein was founded by Arthur Griffith in 1905. They had a nationalist spirit with aims of freeing Ireland from British rule by creating an independent Irish Republic. Many Sinn Fein members were part of both the Sinn Fein and the Irish Republican Brotherhood, which lead to confusion when assigning guilt for the 1916 rising. Afterwards, Republican Nationalists united into a single party, which remained as the Sinn Fein.

1.Analyze the impact WWI had on Ireland?
-Ireland joined forces with the British during the World War One era. Their were about 211,000 who served, but only 140,000 joined during the war as volunteers. Sadly during this 35,000 Irishmen died, but their deaths didn't go in vein because President Messines and Queen Elizabeth the Second made a memorial for the fallen ones. Even so before and after Ireland was divided between unionist and nationalists that didn't see eye-to-eye always but would fight together. Doing this could bring Ireland more together than being separated.
2. Describe the Home Rule Association. Who was the founder? What are they responsible for?
-The founder of the Home Rule Association was established in 1870 by Isaac Butt. The Home Rule Association came before the IPP but the Home Rule Association was to keep the "home rule", to keep Ireland stable. To me the Home Rule and the IPP are both the same trying to help Ireland be successful.
3. Explain the role Charles Stuart Parnell has with the Home Rule Association.
-In 1879 Charles Stuart Parnell was elected president of the Home Rule Association. His role on the Home Rule association was to help farmers have independence on their land, which basically the Home Rule Association tried to help them.
4. Compare and Contrast the Wyndham Land Act to Birrell’s Land Act.
-The Wyndham Land Act was" a scheme for tenant land purchase, sale was to be made not compulsory". This was suppose to be good for both parties, this was a later act in 1903. The Birrell's Land act was in 1909 but was different because the land act "authorized compulsory purchases on large areas".
5. Examine the Irish Land League and their responsibility.
-The Irish land league was there to help and gave aid to poor tenants. This plan was good for boycotts, so that the landlords wouldn't get rent.
6. Identify the Reform Act and its purpose.
-The reform act was established in 1832 and it gave the voting a chance for more of the rich people than poor people. Also the voting system change into a electrol system.
7.Compare and contrast the following: First Home Rule bill; Second Home Rule bill; and Third Home Rule bill.
-The first Home rule was made by a person named William Gladstore. This purpose was to keep the Irish Legislator in power of the taxes of the people. Going into 1893 the second home rule appeared..which gave the Irish a say on taxes. The last bill, which was the Third Home Rule;which gave the police power. Only the second and third bill was passed, but not the first
8.Analyze the Irish Parliamentary Party.
-The IPP which is also know as the Irish Parliamentary party was established in 1882, by a man named Charles Stewart. He was the leader of the Nationalist Party, so he was the leader from the start. The Irish Parliamentary was made for the independence for the nation of Ireland. This party lasted till the 1921-1922, because there were alot changes that had to be down but even so their were alot of leaders that lead the party. The party was basically for the politics of Ireland, political parties and the elections. By doing all this, politics tried to make Ireland stable.
9.Discuss Irish Nationalists.

1. Analyze the impact WWI had on Ireland?
Ireland in the beginning of World War I, they were neutral, with this being said even if this specific country was neutral they still had an impact. In 1914 Ireland was divided into two side, one side was the nationalists and the other side was the Unionist political groups and when this was present, nationalist wished for independence. When the war started these two rival sides decided to ally and fight along with the British, over 200 thousand Irish soldiers joined the British Force, unfortunately, during the war over 30 thousand soldiers died. Since Britain was the country that was the most involved in the war and Ireland wanted independence, Ireland thought that since Britain is distracted on focusing on winning the war, Ireland wanted to drive the British out of Ireland. They started with the rebels hosting big protests like raising the Irish flag on top of building in some cities in Britain. This became out of control in just five days, the British quickly got everything under control, but during this event, over 100 rebels/civilians died. At the end of the War, Ireland thought that they could gain independence by the Treaty of Versailles, but this request was ignored.
2. Describe the Home Rule Association. Who was the founder? What are they responsible for?
The Home Rule Association was founded in 1870 by a man named Isaac Butt, he was a lawyer who founded Home rule as a movement. Just after three years, Isaac lost the leadership of the Home Rule Association and Charles Stewart Parnell was the new leader in 1873. The Home Rule Association was responsible for making sure that a new constitutional order would be created among the population of Ireland and this movement soon became a very important feature in the government, but to think about it members of this movement weren’t exactly politicians, but they soon gain their control in the Irish government.
3. Explain the role Charles Stuart Parnell has with the Home Rule Association.
Charles Stewart Parnell was a very important figure in the Irish history. Parnell became a part of the Home Rule Association In 1875. After three years of being a part of the Home Rule Association, Parnell though that land reform had to be the very first step of the Home Rule Association. in 1879 Parnell became the president of the “National Land League and in the same year he traveled to the United States to get support for the land reform that he wanted to do. Soon Parnell became the leader of the Irish Nationalists and his job was to gain reputation from landlords but this didn’t work out well which ended up to Parnell serving time in Jail. After years, in 1886 Parnell joined the liberals in order to collapse Salisbury’s government and it worked well when this specific government was defeated in the “House of Commons” This is why i mentioned Parnell as a very important figure for Ireland’s history, he was a man who just wanted the best for his country and he worked hard for what he thought was the best for him and Irish population
4. Compare and Contrast the Wyndham Land Act to Birrell’s Land Act.
ReplyDeleteWyndham land act was created in 1903, created by a man named George Wyndham, this act was made to provide “treasury stock to facilitate the sale of estates by tenant farmers”(Oxford Companion to Irish Literature) in other words to make sales easier for the tenant farmers, this act was also supported by the Land League and the Irish Parliamentary Party. After many years over six million acres of land was affected because of this act. The Birrell’s Land act on the other hands was an act which extended the act from 1903 which I already mentioned. It extended the act by accepting compulsory purchase for the tenants farmowners, at the end, these acts were just to give Irish farmer the rights they deserve.
5. Examine the Irish Land League and their responsibility.
The Irish Land League was an system that was to work towards reform of Ireland’s landlord system and this still happened when Ireland was under the British Rule. This league was a very old league, being founded in 1879 by a man named Michael Davitt. Davitt asked Charles Steward which he was the leader of the Irish Home Rule Party but from the British Parliament to be in position over the league. The Irish Land League system was created upon “three Fs”: Fair rent, Fixity of tenure and Free sale of the right of occupancy”(Britannica.com) This was the Irish Land League main responsibility, and those three F’s were to be maintained and working.
6. Identify the Reform Act and its purpose
The Reform Act was made up of two acts that were passed in 1832, the acts were Representation of the people ace and the Parliamentary Boundaries Act. These acts simply increased the amount of electorates or requirements that must need in order to gain franchise, unfortunately this act didn't go very well for the lower class of Ireland, they weren't able to meet the requirements.
7. Compare and contrast the following: First Home Rule bill; Second Home Rule bill; and Third Home Rule bill
First Home Bill- A bill created by William Gladstone in 1886 or a bill that came from the Liberal Party back in the 1800s. This bill would have separated the Irish legislature while still letting main power runs which in case that would be Taxation to the British Parliament. The funny side of this was that the bill was never passed and government created a goal of land reform to calm Ireland down,
Second Home Bill- This bill was passed in 1893 by the Liberals at the house of commons. This bill kind of provided the Irish public people and provide an Irish representative at the Westminster for taxation votes matter only. Eventually the bill was over in the House of Lords, which meant Republicans and Revolutionaries were losing territory in the government.
Third Home Bill- Passed at the house of commons in 1912 it would given the Police control of Ireland, with this being said tremendous protests started to happen plus on top of this a civil war between Ulster Volunteers and Irish Volunteers would of been threatened if the bill became as a law at some point. To make it short and simple, The bill eventually became as a law but it took no effect once World War I started.
8. Analyze the Irish Parliamentary Party.
ReplyDeleteThe Irish Parliamentary Party was formed in 1882 by Charles Stewart Parnell, he was the leader of the Nationalist Party which replaced the Home Rule League as an oficcial Parliamentary party for the Irish. 9. Discuss Irish Nationalists.
Irish Nationalists back then in the 1900s were in a dispute with the unionists. They both had different views on Ireland’s future and these views were quite different. Nationalists forever wanted indepedence frim United Kingdom and build a new sort of republic, mean while the Unionists were completely the opposite, they thought it was better to stay with the United Kingdom. Just to sum it up, Nationalists and Unionists were always fighting for the country but they never came up with a deal since they had different views!
10. Describe in detail the First Sinn Fein.
The First Sinn Fein was created by an nationalist named Arthur Griffith, it is to be one Ireland’s more remarkable piece of history. This organization was created so these people would fight for the rights of Ireland and when i say fight for their rights i mean as in gaining indepedence from the British and be able to creat their own way of governing the country with out the British in the way. Another remarkable point for the First Sinn Fein was that they kept the country in peace! which sometimes was highly needed with rebels, protestants and so on.

ReplyDeleteIn 1914 Ireland was under complete control by Britain. There were two forms of government; nationalists and unionists. The nationalists thought it would be a smart move to be allies with Britain during WW. The nationalists believed this because in return “they would have a bargaining tool for use after the war.” However, the unionists didn’t seem to agree and stayed in their homes. When WW1 started the troops from Ireland were told that the war would end around Christmas time. However, the troops realized that this was all a lie. 1. WWII (world war two) was considered a major outbreak of Germany to go back at it again, putting itself forward to the Nations and saying that they want war and that they are tired of dealing with the treaty of Versailles threw the mouth of their leader, Adolf Hitler. Hitler was recognized for trying to destroy everything in its way and any country that seemed every defenseless. One country that he saw that was “defenseless was Ireland. Ireland was very impacted by WWII because of not being able to react on ti me to some attacks of the German regime. Ireland declared its neutrality 24 hours after the war was declared and unleashed. This was a state of emergency of Ireland so the powers that had control over this country wanted to make sure there was public safety of citizens and preservation of anything that was under Irelands’ power. Ireland remained strong declaring that they would be neutral because they believed that it wasn’t right for a small country to be used by any other strong country and that being neutral is keeping peace. Even if there was neutrality, Ireland supported Britain with supplies to maintain the relationship with them after the war. Ireland ended up being taken over by the German and Japanese troops which led to a disaster for the Allies; these German-Japanese troops being so close to the allies’ western front would be a mess. Ireland was neutral but still received devastation, destruction and suffered what it wasn’t supposed to.

The founder of this Home rule association was William Ewart Gladstone; which said that Home rule assoc. was about the reconciliation for the Irish nationalist into the British state. However some politicians saw this as outrageous and thought that considering a civil war wasn’t a bad idea and probably the only solution to stopping them.

Charles became associated with them and became to interact with politicians to listen to him and appreciate the fact that all the Irish want to do is reform the constitution but of course to their advantage. Some politicians ignored him and saw this as outrageous and thought that considering a civil war wasn’t a bad idea and probably the only solution to stopping them.
ReplyDelete4. The Wyndham Land Act and Birrell’s Land Act have similarities and differences. Some similarities that these acts have are that both contribute to an equal conclusion. It is used a lot in Great Britain especially at the time that new groups of voters where coming in to find a new way to change the constitution. This at first was a problem but then it did turn to a whole deal of whether it was right or wrong to have these new voters vote.
7. the first home rule bill was the first attempt made by the power of the British government to pass a law creating a “home rule” for the unity of United Kingdom, Great Britain and Ireland. The Second and third Home rule bill were also attempts but they do have third differences. The first Home bill was a very bad attempt and it was seriously rejected because there were no agreements towards this unity in the government. The second Home bill was starting to be considered and took time for the government to react and pass it but they did come to a conclusion and rejected it “veto”. The third home bill was more of a serious re-try of whether it would be passed or not but now there were politics that did agree with this and wanted it to be pass which eventually did as a home rule.

9. Irish nationalism decrees that its devotion is for the Irish people and that the Irish people should be together and knows as a strong nation. Since the decree of the division in Ireland, the term “Irish people” had to change and turned into United Ireland because having a division and giving that image wasn’t going to be good. The Irish Nationalist says that the power in London stops them from accomplishing what they want to do and their interests.
ReplyDelete10. Sinn Fein was the name of the Irish Political Party that was founded in 1905 by a man called Arthur Griffith. Sinn Fein gave a strong focus on Irish Nationalism and Irish Republicanism in various ways. During the Irish civil war, there was slight split between these ideals which caused a huge effect on the politics in Ireland. Political philosophers would proclaim that there should be unity because they were upholding the country from doing great things if they didn’t unite. All of this caused monarchist, theocrats and Atheists to revoke what the philosophers said. The first ideals of the Sinn Fein were created by a newspaper editor named Arthur Griffith. Griffith first published his ideals in a article that he created called “creation of an association, bringing together the disparate parliament!”. However an organization called Cumann na nGaedheal rose up to this and denied its purposes running to the National council to stop them from anything they had in mind to do with the country.

Northern Ireland
Analyze the impact WWI had on Ireland?
The Impact of ww1 was so great that it caused some of the Irishman to divide into two different groups. some of the men went and aided the British during the war, while the other amount stayed out of it. Ireland had been divide into two parties, the nationalist and the unionist. and due to their involvement with the british the country got more than they bargained for. Since the war seem like it was going to be longer than expected the Irishmen wanted to break their alliance with the British and drive them out of Ireland. But that was a big mistake, the British were brutal and responded very harshly. The Irishmen started a rebellion against the british . In the beginning they had an advantage but it was lost and the British took over and assassinated all that were against them.
Describe the Home Rule Association. Who was the founder? What are they responsible for? The Home Rule Association was created in 1870 by Isaac Butt. The Home Rule Association was established to keep the stability of Ireland . they were also responsible for revealing Irelands problems to the british parliament.
Explain the role Charles Stuart Parnell has with the Home Rule Association.
Charles Stuart Parnell was the second president of the Home Rule Association. Parnell as known to be a more aggressive rule when he was compared to the first president Isaac Butt.
Compare and Contrast the Wyndham Land Act to Birrell’s Land Act.
The Wyndham Land Act was proposed by the Conservative in 1903. It give people 100 million euro in advance before the land purchase. The Birrell’s Land Act was basically the final stage in land purchasing and it was introduced in 1909 by the Liberals. This law was an obligatory purchase that required landowners to sell their lands when they had over 61,000 tenants.
Examine the Irish Land League and their responsibility.
ReplyDeleteAs I Examine the Irish Land League it occurred to me that they were a political organisation, who aided help poor tenant farmers. and also they were also responsible for the abolishment of landlordism .
Identify the Reform Act and its purpose.
The reform act was created in 1832. It was favored the voting chance more for the rich than poor. It also changed the voting system into an electoral system.
Compare and contrast the following: First Home Rule bill; Second Home Rule bill; and Third Home Rule bill.
The first Home Rule was created to keep the Irish Legislator in power of the taxes and also to give Britain control of some land in Ireland. The second Home Rule was created to give the Irish people a voice in the tax development and also to increased parliament members. The third Home Rule was designed to decrease the number of British in the parliament. The first rule was overlooked and only the two others were enforced.
Analyze the Irish Parliamentary Party.
The Irish Parliamentary Party inaugurated in 1882 by Charles Stewart. It was created to gain independence for Ireland from the British and also political purposes. The party was short in power due to the lack of teamwork and also there were too many leaders in the group which caused a lot of disagreements.
9. Discuss Irish Nationalists.
Discuss Irish Nationalists.
The Irish Nationalists fought for Ireland's independence. The nationalist group even thought were successful in their goal had lots of disagreements against members. They to some extent lacked teamwork, which causing some to created their own group which was called the Irish Volunteer and the reason for this new group was to rebellion against the Britain’s control over Ireland.

1. During WW1 the Ireland solders served in the British army. Ireland had a strong military. But when that happened, the “increase awareness of the Irish soldiers happened.” The country was divided in half and that caused Irish immigrants to more to the United States and has a distinction within both sides of the civil war. That caused a lot of tension between the two countries. So when there was a declared war against Ireland from Great Britain that caused more problems, because they relied on the Irish. So that’s how they impacted Ireland.
2. The Home Rule Association was basically a political party that actually campaigned for the Home Rule for Ireland that was within the united kingdom of Great Britain, and Ireland. The founder of this party was named Isaac Butt (1873-1879). They were responsible for amplifying Ireland’s Home Rule.
3. Charles Stewart Parnell was an Irish landlord and he was the founder of the Irish Parliamentary Party. He played a huge role in the Home Rule Association, because he was the prime minister and he held many promises.
4. In December, 1902 the chief Secretary for Ireland his name was George Wyndham gave his new scheme. That’s when the new scheme for the tenants land purchaser based on the government paying the difference between the price offended by tenants and that demanded by landlords. So this Act finished off that and lords control over the tenants. This was very different to the Brielle Land Act because it authorized the compulsory paraphrases on the bigger area of land.
5. The Irish Land League was created so that the poor would have help and support, because they couldn’t afford anything. So their responsibility was to make sure that the poor would get absolutely more rights, towards owning a tenant Michael Daritt was the founder of this league. Also this league gave restricted privileges to the landlord.
6. The Reform Act was made in 1832; this was made so that the electoral system of wales changes was recognized. Their main focus on this act was that the abuse of choice members that was being served in the “Common House of Parliament” was correct.
7. The way Iran compare and contrast the first, second and third home bill. Is that the first rule granted Ireland the self-rule but only if they switch it with the united kingdom Parliament to dominate over Ireland Parliament. The second rule provided the presentation of the Ireland Parliament. It was just basically a continuation of it. The third rule had very strict restrictions of the self-government and has power over the United Kingdom parliament.
ReplyDelete8. The Irish Parliamentary Party originated from the (HRA) which was under the control of Parnell’s Power. But mainly then followed some of Isaac’s Butt ideas but just in a bit more authorities way. They misused the “positive circumstances at Westminster.”
9. Irish nationalist Nationalist Party in Northern Ireland from 1921 to 1978. Irish nationalists assert that rule from London has been to the detriment of Irish interests.
10. The First Sinn Fein was the oldest political movement in Ireland. It takes its name from the Irish Gaelic expression for “We Ourselves”. Since being founded in 1905, Irish Republications have worked for the right of Irish people as a whole to attain national self-determination. The movement founded about 100 years ago by Arthur Griffith evolved into a number of organizations which carried the name.

Compare and Contrast
My topic will be on shampoo. Shampoo is used by nearly 98% of America and it’s important towards everyone's health. I will be comparing and contrasting the Suave Naturals shampoo to Shea Moisture shampoo. My question will be which shampoo has more quality ingredients?
Suave Naturals shampoo has been used in America for more than 40 years. It’s been clinical proven that it is satisfactory for 65% of the customers who uses it. Due to the chemical ingredients it’s been said that suave has long term damage effect on the growth of hair. Also leaves bad split ends overtime. The ingredient that’s used in the process of making the shampoo is not 100% organic. In fact, it’s been said by customers that suave “breaks the edges of my hair”. One ingredient that I found in Suave Shampoo is called “methylisothiazolinone” this is a chemical substance that is very powerful that could kill or harm microorganisms. The biggest concern with this ingredient came to light when researchers conducted two recent laboratory studies on rat brain cells, and found that methylisothiazolinone caused damage to those cells. The researchers stated, “A brief exposure to methylisothiazolinone, a widely used industrial and household biocide, is highly toxic to cultured neurons….” The scientists went on to state that these toxic effects had been reported previously, and because of their widespread use, the consequences of chronic human exposure need to be evaluated. What was most concerning about this study was that the exposure was only 10 minutes long. That’s why I considered Suave Shampoo does not have more superiority ingredients.
Shea Moisture has been established in 1912, it’s sulfate-free which increases the density and thickness of hair. Suave had sulfate in it. Also, this shampoo contains no Gluten, Synthetic fragrance, Propylene glycol, parabens, paraffin, and no synthetic color. All of the ingredients are certified organic ingredients. This shampoo contains no Chemical substances within it. It’s been scientifically proven to be the most effective shampoo in terms of health and growth of hair. So in general, two thumbs up for Shea Moisture’s hair products! That’s why I discovered in my research that Shea moisture has more quality ingredients in it.
